Farewell ('07 remake)

This is an image I should've done a while ago. It's a remake of a previous image I did (the original took 45 minutes, though this one is far more elaborated, taking up to 4 hours :P)

I was looking a strong contrast with a main backlight focus. That's why the lighting is not the most correct, but I like how it feels

Now some details:
Raindrop splashes and light scattering in the hair. Depth of field in the rain too.

Raincoat's leather texture

Fog texture. The rocks of the ground aren't detailed as they indeed aren't a relevant element and didn't want them to catch the viewer's attention.

Pretty much the same: Comments and critics are far welcome!

The Powerless Justice

She has no longer the power to judge, the power to punish.
Brutally she was stolen the most important for her.
Now, she is alone, ignored and left in the middle of nothing... Powerless...

As you can guess, this depicts how the world is today. Justice has no more power. Money and corruption has completely eclipsed her, and now nothing is up to her.

Some symbolism:
- Her hands, carrying the balance and sword, have been brutally ripped off. This depicts how money got their powers through the strength.
- She is crying, as she has to witness how corruption is destroying mankind.
- The forest depicts the nothing. Contrary to the usual places where these statues are found (most often judges), she is standing in a lonely place in the middle of a forest, where just a few people walks by.
- The moss and plants growing on her depict both how much time this has been the situation and the abandonment itself.

Now some details for you to enjoy:

You can see a highest-detail version here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v79/kencho/Justice.png

Nothing great, but I'm quite proud of it (besides I wanted to do this for some time now). Hope in the future no more of my images have less quality than this.

As usual, comments and critics are welcome

Love in times of war

She found love in the middle of war...

Some symbology:
- The rose: Means love
- The storm: Depicts war, surrounding everything
- The field: Vastness, and everything the same

Reference used (with permission): [link] from flaviacabral

This has been mostly a practice work. I take the chance I promised her an angel picture using one of her stocks, to practise a lot with many things (anatomy, colours, drapery, "real life" copies...). Also tried not to leave wide spaces open, as happened with my previous picture.

Comments? Suggestions for the next one?

This is the realisation of an idea I had in mind for some time.

The idea is to reproduce the classic style used in paintings in the 16th-17th centuries.

Completely done in Photoshop, this has helped me improve my technique, anatomy knowledge, composition skills... Of course I know there are failures in the picture, but I can't find them so any suggestion will be greatly welcome.
